Young Thug's 'Business is Business' First Week Sales
Young Thug’s third studio album ‘Business is Business’ was released on June 22, 2023 & his first week sales came in over 88,311 units which was able to land him the Number 2 spot for overall sales this week. The album consisted of 12 features across 15 tracks including superstars like Drake, Future, 21 Savage, Lil Uzi Vert, Travis Scott & More.
Business is Business first week sales are down over 1.8% compared to his last studio album - Punk which sold approximately 90,000 units first week. However, Young Thug is currently incarcerated and has an ongoing RICO case & going number 2 and selling nearly the same amount is extremely impressive..
Marketing & PR is extremely limited when the artist is not involved as much or has a smaller impact compared to previous projects. It seems like Young Thug has progressed immensely throughout his career - when it comes to overall music, production, collaborations, beat selection & marketing - Thug has worked his way to the top of the music industry now consistently selling 90,000+ copies first week.
The album was able to sell approximately 6,842 physical units while the remaining sales came from streams.. With the success of his hit Single Oh U Went (feat. Drake) and other major collaborations off this project, this album will continue to grow & maintain consistent streams forever.
Young Thug has received massive support on the music videos for Oh U Went (feat. Drake) & Parade on Cleveland (feat. Drake) as they already accumulated over 3.6 Million views and counting since their release.
