Mac Miller's 'Swimming' is Officially RIAA Certified Platinum
Mac Miller’s fifth studio album is officially RIAA certified platinum after being released in August of 2018. The production of the album included Mac himself as well as Dev Hynes, J.Cole, Dam-Funk, Dj Dahl, Tae Beast, Flying Lotus, and Cardo. The album features 13 songs but does not have any artists featured on the project but instead contains vocal contributions from Dam-Funk, Dev Hynes, Snoop Dogg, Syd, Thundercat, and JID. The album when first released debuted at number three on the US Billboard 200.
The album was nominated for a Grammy later that year for Best Rap Album of the year but unfortunately, Mac Miller passed away before he was able to be recognized for this wonderful achievement. The album was very different from previous albums put out by Mac but nonetheless a masterpiece. May his legacy live on in his music and congratulations to him and his family and loved ones for this amazing achievement.
